The Prepare/Enrich Premarital Inventory

What is Prepare/Enrich?

The Prepare/Enrich program assists pastors in working with premarital or married couples discussing a wide range of relationship issues to enhance and strengthen the marital relationship.

Prepare/Enrich is comprised of four different tools

• Prepare: for couples before marriage
• Prepare MC: for married couples with Children
• Enrich: for married couples
• Mate: for couples married over the age of 50

Each of the programs involve filling out a 165 item questionnaire assessing relationship strength and growth issues for 15 categories.

The programs are comprehensive, diagnostically valuable and designed to generate a meaningful dialogue between the pastor and the couple.

The Prepare/Enrich programs have been scientifically developed to have high levels of reliability, validity and clinical utility.

What are the Goals of the Program?

1) Explore the couple's Strength and Growth issues
2) Strengthen the couple's communication skills
3) Learn 10 steps for resolving Couple Conflict
4) Explore "family of origin" issues
5) Develop financial budget and plan
6) Develop personal, couple, and family goals

What is the Cost?

The cost of the program is $30 for the scoring and returning the data to Pastor Mike. Neither Pastor Mike nor Messiah Lutheran Church "charges" any fee for premarital or marital counseling.

How do we get started?

Simply call Pastor O'Berg as (650) 369.5201 and set up a time when both you and your fiancee (or spouse) can come in and spend about and hour filling our the questionnaire. Once the Pastor O'Berg receives the scored data, he will contact you and set up additional appointments (usually 1-3 one hour sessions).
